Child Care Licensing Orientation

The goal of the Child Care Licensing Program is to reduce the risk of predictable harm to children while in out-of-home settings and to provide information to those interested in becoming licensed child care providers. The orientation discusses all information pertinent for obtaining a license including training requirements, licensing requirements, etc. It is also a time for prospective providers to bring questions or concerns for discussion.

CONNECT WITH SMALL BUSINESS RESOURCES

This workshop will offer information on important digital tools, research databases, business plan templates, and free business mentorship to get you on the track to success.

RECOGNIZING FRAUD: A HOT TOPICS DISCUSSION

Fraudsters use a number of persuasive tactics to convince us to give them our money. Because of that, we all need to educate ourselves on how to recognize, refuse, and report fraud and scams. Captain Tricia Giordano, Investigations Division Commander at the Junction City Police Department, will be at the library to discuss how we can protect ourselves from becoming a victim of fraud and what we can do if we fall victim to scam artists.

SHRED YOUR PERSONAL DOCUMENTS @ THE LIBRARY

Each year individuals and households accumulate many personal financial and health documents which require secure disposal to prevent Identity Theft. The library is partnering with Document Resources, a Division of Underground Vaults & Storage, to offer a FREE shed day to dispose of the general public's personal documents and files. (Documents from businesses will not be accepted. Please bring only personal and household materials to the event). There is a limit of 5 boxes or bags per household.
