Library Resources

The Dorothy Bramlage Public Library serves the residents of Junction City, Ft. Riley, Geary County and surrounding areas. You are invited to visit the library and browse our collection of books, magazines, newspapers, videos, books-on-tape, CD-ROMs and reference materials as well as utilize our high-speed Internet service provided by Cox Business Services. You may call the Reference Desk at (785)238-4311 or, from outside the library's service area, contact us via mail or email (jclibrary@jclib.org)with your questions.

LearningExpressLibrary This is a subscription site made available to our library patrons who may be planning on taking a standardized test for college entrance, graduate school entrance, civil service, vocational career certification, nursing, TOEFL, GED, teacher certification, advanced placement or real estate licensing. The site also includes basic skills improvement or job and career assistance. The Learning Express Library Web site will have detailed information on how to register to set up an individualized account. Once you have established your account, you will have free and unlimited access to all of the Learn-A-Test resources. (Yes--it's free!)

Setting up a personal account is quick and easy, but there are a couple potential hurdles for home users.  If your computer is protected by a firewall, it must be disabled in order to log on and utilize Learn-A-Test. Your computer must also be set to accept cookies. Learn-A-Test's cookies are not malicious, but are the kind that permit you to navigate the Web site using your personalized logon name.  If you are unsure how to disable your firewall or enable cookies, you can contact technical support for Learning Express at 1-800-295-9556.

Note: It is not necessary to use a library card as your logon to register with LearningExpressLibrary.
